Work Locations:
Multiple residential and commercial landscaping worksites in Aspen
(Pitkin County) and Carbondale (Garfield County), Colorado. Daily
travel between local job sites is required.
Period of Employment:
04/01/2026 to 11/30/2026
Temporary, full-time
Schedule:
Full-time, typically 40 hours per week. Workdays may vary by weather
and workload. Overtime may be available. Employer will use a single
workweek as its standard for computing wages due.
Overtime:
Overtime may be available based on workload, weather, and project
deadlines. Overtime will be paid when required by applicable law at
one and one-half times the worker’s regular hourly rate. Estimated
overtime rate range: $37.50 to $52.50 per hour based on offered hourly
wage range of $25.00 to $35.00.
Job Duties:
Assist foreman in all tasks necessary to complete landscape
installation and maintenance projects, including loading and unloading
materials, moving supplies, and preparing job sites. Install landscape
elements such as rock work and gravel, all types of plant materials,
patios, decks, mulch, and decorative features. Perform garden and
property maintenance including mowing, weeding, pruning, mulching,
yard cleanup, and deadheading. Assist in the installation, repair, and
maintenance of basic irrigation systems, including trenching, laying
pipe, installing sprinkler heads, drip lines, valves, and controllers,
and performing seasonal start-up and winterization under supervision.
Work may also include assisting with installation and maintenance of
basic water features and pond work under direction.
Weather Dependency / Work Availability:
Work is performed outdoors and is dependent on weather conditions.
Work may be temporarily delayed, reduced, or canceled due to adverse
weather including snow, freezing temperatures, heavy rain, or unsafe
site conditions. The employer will comply with all applicable wage and
hour laws.
On-the-Job Training:
On-the-job training will be provided to workers as needed to perform
assigned duties in accordance with company safety procedures and job
standards.
Minimum Requirements:
No education required. Minimum of three (3) months of landscaping,
groundskeeping, or closely related experience required. Must be able
to lift/carry up to 50 lbs., perform manual labor outdoors in varying
weather, and use basic hand/power tools. No licenses or certifications
required.
Tools, Supplies, and Equipment:
Employer will provide all tools, supplies, and equipment required to
perform the job at no cost to the worker.
Deductions:
Employer will make all deductions from pay required by law. Optional
housing, if elected by worker, is the only additional deduction
described below.
Optional Housing:
Optional housing is available at Carbondale, CO. Housing is not a
condition of employment. Contact employer for details regarding this
opportunity.
Inbound and Outbound Transportation / Subsistence:
If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer
will provide or pay for transportation and subsistence from the place
from which the worker has come to work for the employer to the place
of employment, if the worker completes 50% of the period covered by
the job order. Upon completion of the work contract or where the
worker is dismissed early, the employer will provide or pay for the
worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence to
the place from which the worker came to work for the employer, unless
the worker will not return due to subsequent employment.
