Fitzgerald Landscaping and Design (FLD) is a full service design, build, and maintenance firm that has been operating in the Roaring Fork Valley since the year 2000.  Since that time we have grown from small business dealing to a corporation that deals with large landscaping projects throughout the valley.  Our office staff consists of four professional landscaping experts and a seasonal staff of 20 skilled landscaping experts.  FLD has worked on many large and small projects throughout the Roaring Fork Valley.

 

The Pyramid residence has been a continually evolving project for us.  We have maintained the property since 2004.  In 2009 we were contracted to design and install a $500,000.00 planting plan throughout the whole 14 acre area.  The install essentially transformed the land from an open native area to a Japanese garden.  Since then we have continued to maintain the property with the utmost care.  Most recently we were contracted to renovate the gardens for an Indian themed wedding.

 

The Stratosphere house is a Wall Street Journal award winning project, completed in fall of 2011.  The project total was $200,000.00.  Site work consisted of irrigation, stonework, planting, dry stack retaining walls, and custom water feature.  

 

We reached substantial project completion for the RFTA BRT project in 2014.  The RFTA BRT was a federally funded project, while using CDOT Specifications.  This included seeding, planting, irrigation, decorative stone, soil conditioning, and partial erosion control measures.  The project consists of 14 different sites along the Highway 82 corridor between Glenwood Springs and Aspen, with a project amount of $550,000 attributed to FLD’s project scope.

 

Other clients we have worked with is the Town of Snowmass Village (TOSV), Town of Aspen, Hotel Jerome, and Destination Hotels.  For Destination Hotels we work as the landscapers for Ute Place, a high end private community.  Our original scope of work was maintenance, but has expanded into multiple installs equating to more than $500,000.00.  This includes irrigation, garden installation, earthwork, large pond building, and stone work.
